Fold Where the Empty Container Is
The savings begin before the return journey even starts.
Instead of transporting an empty container to a dedicated folding location, SKLADX can be folded and bundled on site. Once folded, four empty containers can be transported and stored within the footprint of one, allowing the space-saving benefits to begin immediately.
These savings continue throughout the return journey until the containers reach a location where they are needed again, are unbundled, unfolded, and returned to service.
The advantage can be particularly significant in inland logistics, where empty containers may otherwise travel long distances between customers, depots, rail terminals, and ports.

Features of SKLADX Container
In addition to all aforementioned advantages, Skladx includes some more features that simplifies its handling and folding processes.

Built-In Twistlocks
Each container is equipped with built-in automatic twistlocks at every corner, simplifying and accelerating the bundling and interlocking process. No tools or additional components are required. Once one folded container is placed on top of another, the integrated twistlock engages automatically, allowing the containers to bundle securely during stacking.
The system also includes automatic alignment pins, which help guide the containers into the correct position and provide added structural rigidity when two or more folded containers are stacked together.

Built-In Intelligence
SKLADX is more than a foldable container. Each unit is to be equipped with a dedicated electronic module providing GPS tracking, shock and impact monitoring, environmental sensing, door-event detection, and an integrated security camera facing the doors.
The module is designed as a large, self-contained, long-life unit, with the goal of operating for years — potentially up to a decade — without routine maintenance or battery replacement.
By turning each container into a connected logistics asset, SKLADX helps improve visibility, reduce idle time, enhance security, and simplify data management throughout the container’s lifecycle.

Built-In Modularity
SKLADX containers are engineered to withstand demanding work environments, repeated handling, and everyday logistics operations. However, if damage does occur, the modular design allows individual sections and components to be replaced instead of replacing the entire container.
This built-in modularity reduces repair complexity, lowers long-term maintenance costs, and helps extend the useful life of each unit. It also streamlines manufacturing by using repeatable sections that can be produced, assembled, and serviced more efficiently.

SKLADX was created to solve one of the most persistent inefficiencies in global logistics: moving and storing empty containers as if they were full.
The idea of a foldable shipping container is not new, but previous solutions have often struggled with real-world adoption because the folding process introduced new complexity — requiring specialized tools, dedicated machinery, large crews, designated folding locations, or additional handling steps.
As a mechanical engineer and product developer, I saw that the real challenge was not simply to make a container fold. The challenge was to make folding practical: strong, simple, compatible with existing infrastructure, and useful in everyday logistics operations.
That became the foundation of SKLADX.
After years of engineering development and refinement, SKLADX has evolved into a patented foldable container system that can be folded and bundled on site.
